Who is eligible?

  • All adults age 19-59 years

  • All adults age 60 or older with risk factors for HBV infection due to”

    • sexual exposure risk

    • percutaneous or mucosal exposure to blood

    • travel to countries with high or intermediate endemic hepatitis B

    • people with hepatitis C infection

    • HIV infection

    • incarceration

    • chronic liver dise

  • Any adult age 60 or older who does not meet the risk based recommendations may be vaccinated

What is it for?

  • Engerix-B is a vaccine indicated for the immunization against infection caused by all known subtypes of hepatitis B virus.
