College Vaccines: Where to Get Them?

Fall classes are quickly approaching! Fresno State begins on August 18, 2025, and UC Irvine (UCI) starts on September 22, 2025. Fresno State and UCI are home to several of our team members! With the new academic year on the horizon, it's important to make sure your loved one is current on their vaccinations. Be sure to review your college’s immunization requirements and schedule any necessary appointments before classes begin to ensure a healthy start to the year.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) offers a comprehensive resource for students attending college in the fall. However, students should double-check with their specific schools, since some campus requirements may not be listed by CDPH. For the most recent guidelines, refer to the Immunization Recommendations and Screening Requirements for California Colleges & Universities.

Many of the required vaccines may include:

• Hepatitis B

• Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

• Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)

• Meningococcal Conjugate (MenACWY)

• Meningococcal Serogroup B (MenB)

• Tetatnus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap)

• Varicella (chickenpox)

• Sars-Cov-2 (COVID-19)

• Influenza (Flu- seasonal)
